Since the beginning of the 2007 academic year, the department has been soliciting the design of the department's emblem in the form of a design competition.

On April 2, 2008, it was voted and resolved by the departmental meeting.

The picture below shows the department's emblem in Chinese and English.
The gear in the upper left corner of the pattern represents machinery,the sun in the top right corner symbolizes energy,the aircraft in the lower right corner represents aviation. The three are in the same ring, which means that the department not only has its own strengths in each field, but also can conduct cross-field collaborative research, in order to cultivate high-quality scientific and technological officers and engineers needed in the fields of electromechanical energy and aerospace engineering.
In addition, the aircraft is facing the direction of the sun, which has the meaning of facing the rising sun, which symbolizes a more prosperous future for the department.

On July 1, 2015, the name was changed to "Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering", and the department emblem was revised at the same time.
